At Dry-Fast Carpet Cleaning, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers' needs. With that goal in mind, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions. How often do I need to have my carpets or upholstery cleaned?
You can get many different answers to this question, depending on who you ask. Most companies will tell you that you need to have it done every six months….the EPA has their own scale of how often it should be done depending on lots of factors. Here at Dry-Fast Carpet Cleaning Service, I have been telling my customers for years to have their carpets cleaned whenever you think they’re ready. The best way to tell if you need your carpets cleaned in my opinion, is to take a look at your white socks after being in the house for awhile. If they’re dirty, then so is your carpet! That’s where we came up with our slogan: “Your Clean White Socks Will Thank You!!” Simple as that!
My carpets are way too dirty to be cleaned. I’m just going to have to buy brand new carpet…
Many people have thought that they had no other choice but to go through the expense of replacing their carpets because it was just to dirty, worn, stained, old and/or used. Having your carpets cleaned before replacing has brought great surprises to many people after seeing the results…Not to mention the enormous cost difference! If ever you’d like to see for yourself if it would make enough difference to have it cleaned instead of replacement, then just give us a call or email, and we’ll come out to do a sample area for you.
How long does it take for my carpets to be dry?
In almost all cases (97% or so), the carpet that we clean is completely dry when we leave the house/building. At this time, you can have full access to every area that we have cleaned, including pets and children!
Is your equipment loud?
Absolutely Not…The loudest piece of equipment we use in our carpet cleaning process is a standard commercial vacuum cleaner. Our Carpet ‘buffer’ can be used next to you while you’re talking on the phone! In Upholstery and Automobile cleaning, we use an Industrial Extractor, which is about as loud as a ‘carwash vacuum cleaner’.
How Does your process work on cleaning stairs?
The cleaning process we use to clean stairs is exactly the same as the one we use on your other carpet. The only difference is that we have a smaller hand held machine to do the same process so your stairs receive the same care that the rest of your home would.
Does your process remove pet hair?
Does it ever! The cleaning process that we use removes pet hair that no vacuum cleaner can get, and most other carpet cleaning techniques cannot. If you have a pet that sheds hair…especially long hair…then you’ll likely be amazed at what we can get out in only one cleaning!
Can you remove pet stains?
As much as we love our pets, sometimes they can make messes that make us want to call the pound! Having pet stains in your carpet doesn’t have to be all that stressful. Many pet stains can be removed with the general cleaning that we provide. However, there are times when further steps might have to be taken, but rest assured that we can take care of most all of them right away.
Can you remove odors from my carpet and upholstery?
Odor problems can definitely be a hassle. The first step is to figure out what the primary cause of the odor is, as we have different deodorizers for different causes.
If I need to have my oriental rugs cleaned, can you do it here in my home, or do you need to take it away?
Oriental rugs do often need special care. There are definitely some that will require particular treatment and time to handle properly. These rugs will be taken and cleaned, and redelivered to you. However, most oriental rugs that we clean are done ‘in house’. Either way, you will never have to pay for any pick up or delivery charges within the local area.
Do I need to put a protectant on my carpet after cleaning?
The protectant that your carpet likely had on it when it was installed fades after awhile. General wear patterns, spills, previous cleaning from carpet cleaning companies or from do-it-yourself machines, flooding, and humidity all take a factor in how long it will last. As we clean, we’re easlily able to tell whether it’s protected or not, and will recommend protectant if need be upon completion of the cleaning. Keep in mind, here at Dry-Fast Carpet Cleaning, we do not ever try to recommend anything that isn’t necessary or needed.
Can you clean the upholstery and carpets in my automobile?
Absolutely! Auto carpet and upholstery can be cleaned, deodorized, protected, and have stains removed just like household carpet can!
Can you clean my office/commercial building after hours? Is there an Additional charge?
Yes. Commercial buildings that have a busy workplace during the day can be done after hours or on weekends. No, there is no additional charge for working at night when it is scheduled in advance.
